Needed: Artist & Sound Designer

For Mother Lode I handled generation of most of the art and sound assets myself. I believe this was a mistake. Various reviews (rightly) dinged the game due to the lower quality of those attributes.
I am about a month into development on my next game and believe now is the time to bring in some help. I need both an artist and a sound designer. I don't have a firm grasp as to how long the rest of development will take, but I don't want to leave it until the end.

Mother Lode has not performed nearly as well as I had hoped, unfortunately. The game seems to be well received - most reviews rate it at 7 out of 10. I'm guessing a lot of the reason for the poor performance is that the iPad board game market is just too small. To make money in that restricted space you need something really special (see: Ticket to Ride).

Mother Lode is inspired by, and shares many rules with, the classic Parker Brothers board game called Survive. At one point I was going to play down or avoid talking about the similarities between the games. I wanted Mother Lode to stand on its own. Internet users are a savvy bunch, though, and soon after I started talking online about the game people recognized the link between the games.

Today I submitted the first update for Mother Lode. This one adds retina graphics for users with the new iPad. The device really is beautiful and it's quite a noticeable step down when I go back to my first-gen iPad to test things. This is an image comparing the retina with non-retina version of the escape pod.
